How does tVNS® work?
With tVNS® ①, light electrical stimulation ④ is given to the vagus nerve ② in the ear ③. These signals are special nerve fibers in the brain stem ⑤ before and then transmitted to the brain via the respective control centers. These stimuli cause the release of neurotransmitters from the brain and increase parasympathetic activity.
Treatment with tVNS® is applied by the patient himself. It can be easily integrated into daily life.

tVNS® stimulates the branch of the vagus nerve in the auricle through the skin with gentle electrical impulses. Signals are passed on to the brain via special nerve fibers: first in the brain stem and then in higher centers.

Epilepsy
After a 20 week treatment period, active tVNS® patients recorded an average 34.2% reduction of seizure frequency.
Prader-Willi-Syndrome
After a treatment period of 12 months, 80% of tVNS® patients recorded a reduction of mean number of outbursts per day of 50%, compared to mean number of outburst per day before treatment.
Migraines
Treatment with tVNS® led to a reduction of 50% of the frequency of days with migraines after a treatment period of 12 weeks.
Depression
